Rebecca Lockwood is an AMDRAS accredited mediator, lawyer, and educator with experience across five jurisdictions and a range of practice areas. She is based in Perth, Australia with roots in Canada.
In 2021, Rebecca became an accredited mediator in Australia and began working in conflict resolution as a judicial officer in Perth. She launched her private mediation practice in 2025 as an expansion of her legal education consultancy Grammatika International.
Rebecca brings a unique cross-jurisdictional perspective to her work, combining legal insight with practical, solutions-focused mediation expertise. Rebecca was called to the bar in Ontario, Canada in 2015 and practiced as a lawyer in Toronto with a focus on constitutional law, administrative law, international law, and refugee law. Her experience in the courts both in Canada and Australia informs her balanced, impartial approach and her ability to identify the legal and human dynamics that shape complex disputes. She has worked in both the public and private sector and understands the nuances of both areas.
In addition to her mediation and legal work, Rebecca has 17 years experience in education. Since 2012, she has specialized in teaching legal skills to lawyers and professionals in Canada, the UK, and online all over the world. She is widely recognised for her trauma-informed approach to dispute resolution and practice, creating processes that are structured, respectful, and safe while remaining pragmatic and outcome-driven. Clients value her clarity, authority, and steady guidance through challenging negotiations.
Rebecca is fluent in English and Spanish and able to conduct mediations and training across both languages.
